BREATHTAKING NPC ANNOUNCED AS OFFICIAL CHARITY PARTNER OF THE 54TH aQuelle MIDMAR MILE 2027
Breathtaking Fundraising NPC is proud to announce that we are an official charity partner of the 54th aQuelle Midmar Mile 2027 — the world’s largest open water swimming event.
Taking place from 11–14 February 2027 at Midmar Dam in KwaZulu-Natal, the event brings together thousands of swimmers from across South Africa and around the world — all united by challenge, endurance, community and purpose.
This year, Team Breathtaking is swimming for something bigger.
By joining the Breathtaking Team, participants will not only secure their Midmar Mile entry, but will also directly contribute towards raising awareness and funds for South Africans living with Cystic Fibrosis.
Funds raised through team entries, awareness campaigns and fundraising initiatives will support the work of Breathtaking NPC and help amplify awareness around the realities faced by individuals and families living with CF.
THE BREATHTAKING CHARITY CHALLENGE
11–12 February 2027
The Breathtaking Charity Challenge includes the 8 Mile and 16 Mile events taking place ahead of the main Midmar Mile weekend.
Teams may consist of a maximum of four swimmers and are encouraged to raise a minimum of R10 000 through the Give n Gain and aQuelle Midmar fundraising platforms.
These events are designed for swimmers wanting to take on an even greater challenge while making a meaningful impact through fundraising and awareness.

Participants can also join Team Purple for the official Midmar Mile events taking place on Saturday and Sunday.

Marnus extremely sick from birth. In 2009 at the age of 14 years drastic actions had to be taken. A feeding tube and Port were his only hope.

Scarlet has endured so much already and this medication could make a life-changing difference to her health in such a way that she can live a life with easier breathing and less hospitalizations.
Aspiring Abi’s Story of hope
Abi dreams of opening a coffee and bubble tea café where people can relax, enjoy a good cup of coffee. She wants to use the proceeds from the shop to fund medication for people with Cystic Fibrosis.
Super Samuel and Cystic Fibrosis
Samuel is 6 years old, and at the young age of 10 months, Samuel was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.
O2 For Beth Too
Elizabeth was only 2 years old when we came to learn that monthly visits to specialists and regular extended hospital stays would become the norm, nutritious food would never be enough on its own and each breath she would ever take, would be a battle.
