My name is Zane Jansen van Rensburg. I’m 38 years old and have been living with Cystic Fibrosis since I was diagnosed at 12.

CF has affected much of my life, from frequent hospital stays to digestive problems, difficulty absorbing nutrients and recurring acute pancreatitis. In my 30s, my health has declined significantly, leaving me exhausted and making it increasingly difficult to work consistently.

I want nothing more than to work, support myself and pay for my own medical care, but right now I need some help getting there.

My essential medical costs are around R10,000 every month, covering my medical aid, Creon and Triko CF Modulator treatment. My greatest hope is that the CF modulator will help me regain my health and energy so I can get back on my feet and give 100% at work again.

I love my wife, my dogs and being outdoors. More than anything, I simply want the chance to feel well enough to enjoy life and provide for myself again.

I’m asking for a little help now, in the hope that one day soon, I won’t need to ask anymore.
