Celebrating a Breathtaking year!

On the 2nd of April we celebrated Ruach’s 6th birthday! A Breathtaking year of God’s life-giving breath(the meaning of Ru’s name).

It has been one year since we received Ru’s first box of Trixacar, on his 5th birthday, and then 2 weeks later getting the news that Discovery alongwith a donor will be paying for Trikafta! We cannot express our thankfulness enough towards God and you, our community of support, for your contributions that made all this possible.

There are still many of our CF community that cannot afford medical aid, and thus still do not have access to Trikafta. Going forward, we would like to donate all funds received via Ru’s fundraising page to Breathtaking Fundraising. They will use all the funds to help get as many people with CF access to this life-changing medication.

Celebrating Ruach: Our First Beneficiary and a Beacon of Hope

We are thrilled to share a heartwarming update about Ruach, our very first beneficiary who needed crowdfunding support. With the unwavering love and dedication of his family and friends, we successfully raised over R250,000 for Ruach’s first batch of Trixacar. This incredible achievement allowed us to train a volunteer who traveled to Argentina to collect the medication, arriving just in time for Ruach’s 5th birthday!

Ruach, whose name means “breath of God,” embodies the spirit of resilience and hope. We are delighted to report that he is doing well, surrounded by the love and encouragement of his family and social network. Their continued support not only uplifts Ruach but also enables us to extend our care to other little CF warriors who are on similar journeys.

As we honor Ruach and his family for their remarkable support, we remain committed to bringing hope and assistance to all newly diagnosed children facing the challenges of Cystic Fibrosis. Each contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference in the lives of these brave young explorers.
